I have a colony of Anacropora “The Thing” that has been growing in a tight, round, “ball”. A lot of photos I’ve seen of this coral shows more branching. Is this normal? Colony is about the size of a softball.

Yes, as it gets larger it will grow perfectly spherical. Mine is about the size of a cantaloupe. Started as 1” frag.

Just curious but how long did it take to grow to softball size from a 1” frag?

Here’s my splice of Green Goblin and Golden Rod. I glued them to the same rock and they just grew together.
