OK, I might just be paranoid, but I want other opinions. I just finished moving all of my fish over to my display tank. They’ve been in a quarantine tank for the last month because we moved across town and I was getting their display tank, torn down and set back up again and cycled. My female clown has been acting a little bit weird since yesterday. At least I’m worried she’s acting weird. Clowns are weird in general. 🙄😮‍💨 the thing I’m worried about is it seems like her gills are going a little hard harder than usual and she she’s just been hanging out in that one spot. She did eat this morning. Am I crazy and if not, what’s wrong and how do I help her?

I keep trying to add a video, but it won’t let me. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I was able to view the video with no issue. She does look a little stressed, it could just be from being in the new tank but I would double check your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels in case you had a spike. Moving everything over at once could have caused one if there wasn't enough nitrates available in the tank to keep up with the new bio load. I would do a partial water change to be on the safe side, and maybe throw in a little stress guard or activated carbon.

Thank you! I don’t know why it’s showing up as no video on my end. Glad that it actually shows up for other people! I checked and ammonia and nitrites are zero. Nitrates are around 25. I did add stress guard when I put them in, but I’ll do another dose. I am also running carbon.

It's no problem, and if the parameters are all good then I would probably just let her settle and keep an eye on her for the next couple of days.

I think there is something seriously wrong with this fish - it is breathing fast, but that stiff bodied swimming is not normal. Is it still eating?

Can you post a clearer video taken under white lights?

She died. 💔

Sorry to hear, it did look severely ill, most likely there wasn’t anything you could have done for it.

You need to move into “damage control” - what other fish are in with it? I’d watch any other clowns closely for the start of any symptoms…..
