I got my mantis shrimp yesterday around 2 pm and he hasn’t taken any clams or bloodworms yesterday and today which I understand cuz he’s nervous and need to get used to his home. And he didn’t take clams today and I out two small hermit crabs in there and they have walked by his burrow he made multiple times. I know they don’t eat while molting but the fish store I got him from said he recently molted so I didn’t think about that being a possibility but could he molt twice in a short period of time?

Still acclimating, provide the food but dont worry if he doesn't it. It might take up to a week.

Make sure the lights are off. Does he have a PVC burrow or cave he can go into?

Ok that makes me feel better lol

I’ve been keeping the lights off and he has a very nice and dark cave I made for him out of rocks and he just recently made a little burrow in the sand under one of the rocks.
