I joined R2R back in 2014 when I first got into the hobby. Admittedly I’m more of a reader than a poster, hence my abysmally low post count lol. I’m going to try to be more interactive I live in NC, we just moved from the coast to mid-state for my job. I’m an ER veterinarian.
I started back in 2014 with a 50 gal tank that I swapped from fresh to salt, and within a few yrs was up to 200 gallons. I traded my big tank before the move - I was traveling a lot for work and my family at home didn’t really know what they were doing with my tank and we had a tragic crash. Seemed like a good time for a break since the house was on the market. Currently I have my 25 gal QT running with the 2 surviving fish, a bunch of nems and a few softies. I just ordered a new custom tank which I’m hoping to get in 4-6 wks.
I just put my rocks together for the new build - on my dining room table. When the new heaters get here, they’ll go in bins in the garage for curing so they’ll be ready when the tank gets here. I can’t wait to get my reef up and running again. I cried for weeks after the crash but I’m ready to start over.
I’m in the Greensboro area if anyone is nearby - actually in Elon but that’s close enough. I’ve already discovered Triad Reef Critters and I’m excited to be close to a reasonably sized store for once! Used the be quite the drive when I lived at the coast... seems counter intuitive for some reason but there it is.
