the polyps are maybe 1mm-2mm wide from peek to peek.

Yeah the width of the polyps are only between 1-2mm wide. If compared to a pencil the diameter of the lead is a little smaller than the size of most polyps from peak to peak. The length just depends on how many polyps are joined. Only around 1.5 inches of the frag is shown.
 
gflat65, thanks. Coscinaraea columna probably looks the closest that I've seen so far.
 
I've got one, too. Maybe we can work out a frag swap. Mine is tan with neon green mouths. Here's a macro (blurred and all;)). I'm a junky for ugly LPS:D.
