number of conch snails

Would I get 12 conch snails for a 5 foot 125 gallon for sand maintenance?

That might be too much, you’re probably better off going for 2-3 but it also depends on the type of conch I guess. 2-3 fighting/tiger conchs should be okay

Fighting conch? I have 1 in a 75 and it completely does the job. And keeps the sand pristine

Strawberry conch? I put 1 in a 15 g and it cleaned up the sand then died. I assume starved.

These guys are very good cleaners. I would say 2-3 fighting conch would be enough. Strawberry or a smaller conch, 3-4
