Nutritious fish food

What do you feed your fish that you think is nutritious? With all the additives added to fish food how do we know if we are feeding our fish all the right ingredients to maintain there health? Many Randy will chime in and tell us what he feeds and what he recommends.

Foods high in protein: live blackworms, PE Mysis, Sustainable Aquatics pellets

Foods high in vitamins: nori

Foods with lots of variety: Rod's food, Rogger's food

Unfortunately, most frozen foods are also high in nitrates so I'm trying to cut back.
