Nuvo 20 gal drop off

I need a replacement skimmer for this aquarium.
I had the skimmate ghost desktop skimmer and it died. This one has been discontinued and the new version sucks . Need to know if anyone has used a different one in the back of this aquarium . Looking for suggestions
