Hello, I rarely frequent forums but wanted to leave feedbacks for some of the recent vendors I'd dealt with.

This review is for NYAquatic for the past 2 orders in the last 3 months. A third order was recently placed but he didn't have the correct stock in so we came to an agreement on replacements. So this vendor feedback will be for the 2 historical order recently only.

1st order: 12" Passer Angel
Communication: Good communication (4/5)
Packing and Shipping: Arrived in a well insulated styrofoam box with heating packs and little to no leakage from the main bag to outer bags. (5/5)
Live Specimen: The Passer was healthy, alert, diseased free and size as advertised. It ate like a champ and after 6 weeks of QT, passed with flying colors. (5/5)

2nd order: 14" orange tail emperor from Africa and 12" tomato grouper
Communication: Mike sent video of Angel as requested showing it was eating and I did notice tail was yellow as opposed to orange but I was fine with this simply got the size and it was on sale. (5/5)
Packing and Shipping: Both specimens arrived in separate boxes. Both boxes were well insulated, heated and little to no leakage. (5/5)
Live Specimen: Both arrived healthy looking and acclimated well. Tomato grouper was scratching his gills during the acclimation process and a freshwater dip confirmed my suspicion of gill flukes. No big problem, both fishes are put through QT procedures and still going strong in QT. They both eat well and doing great. (4/5)

Overall, my past 2 orders with Michael has been quite positive. He doesn't respond right away but he does get back to you with details and videos if requested. I've also asked him to let me know if he has large fishes come in and he does. So, from a customer service's standpoint, he does above average.

The 3rd order is in the works but I expect good things.

I would recommend buying livestock from Michael. But, please do your own due diligence and ask plenty of questions prior to purchasing. Read all the fine print, QT your fishes, and follow up right away if a problem arise. Michael will work with you to resolve issues if they are reasonable. People will have to remember he has a business to run, not a charity. The customer is not always right if they don't do proper research on their own. No one is making you take the risk to buy "live arrival" only fishes. Not to mention not all vendors will guarantee DOA if it is at the fault of the shipping company.
