Hello all,
I'm installing the protein skimmer on my new build today (first ever at that). I noticed after completing setup of the Nyos 120 that the base plate at the very bottom of the skimmer isn't airtight to the body of the skimmer. Is this going to cause an issue? Seems if there are controls to adjust water/air flow, that it should be airtight?? Am i wrong in this assumption?

Thanks in advance!

Very few if any skimmers designed to be submerged are air right at the bottom.
This would be a very different answer if the skimmer were designed to be run externally
