Oatey pvc cement on acrylic ?

apparently lowes or home depo doesn't sell scigrip 4 (weld-on 4) so can oatey pvc cement hold together acrylic. trying to build a baffle for a sump.
 
tried to google it but Im not sure it would work because acrylic is a different form of plastic.
 
Do NOT use pvc cement on acrylic. scigrip 3 or 4 is appropriate, but consumers can no longer purchase it.
 
Recently went through the same dilemma here in Montreal. Went to a commercial acrylic shop who refilled my 10 oz can of Weldon 4 for $10 Cdn.
Don't use anything else but the Weldon 3 or 4 type solvent. Make sure you keep the can tightly closed!

lol definitely does not bond. It sticks to acrylic but not strong at all.
