SCIENTIFIC NAME - Cypho purpurescens

COMMON NAME - Oblique lined Dottyback

SIZE - 2.9" (7.5 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE - 20 US Gal. (76 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING - Meaty foods, varied diet, marine fish, crustacean flesh, Mysid shrimp, frozen preparations for carnivores. Feed Daily.

REEF COMPATIBILITY - Safe with corals, will eat small tubeworms and ornamental shrimps.

CAPTIVE CARE - Has an aggressive disposition, will attack smaller docile fishes. Can be housed with Demoiselles, Larger Wrasses, Shrimp Gobies if in a spacious reef aquarium that has many hiding places in the live rock. May be lethal to small fishes in a bare or confined tank. Do not keep with other red similar shaped fish, do not keep with other Dottybacks. If tank is a 100 US Gal. (379 L) or larger can be kept in pairs or small groups (1 male and two females) provided plenty of hiding places are provided.
