The screen menu on the new controller only stays lit for about 5 min. and then shuts off. Is it suppose to stay on all the time so I can see what my 2 wave pumps are doing, ie. flow, flow type, feed mode, etc.. I can turn it back on by pushing the on/off button for about 2 sec.

What screen are you talking about. My OctoPulse 2's are hooked to my Wave Engine and that controller does not have it's on screen. I just use the app to check them when I want to do that. It uses the Hydros app and that app does stop updating after a few minutes but you can press the icon that pops up in the lower right of the screen to get it to start updating again. Below is a screenshot with the icon in the lower right corner of the screen on my iPad.

I have the new controller with a little screen that shows the menu and what the wave pumps are doing. I tried using the octo app instead of using the controller box you get with it but after hours of trying to connect to the app my iPad or Android phone will not connect. I'm using octo pulse 4+ version and not the hydros version.

I have never used that controller but you can always submit a support ticket with Coralvue for this issue.
