I had a family friend offer me a free 125 gallon which was originally freshwater.

The long dimension is 8’, I asked re: other dimensions so that info pending.

Anyone heard of a tank like this? Most 125’s I see are 48-72 in length, and the 72’s are often narrow and tall.

Any experience with a tank like this?
Feel free to link any build threads to give me ideas!
What is the oddest shaped tank you’ve ever inherited or bought 2nd hand?

Thanks!

I have no idea about your 8’ tank but the oddest tank I had ever seen was a 12 gallon long on Craigslist. (36” x 8” x 9”) I knew I had to have it immediately. lol.

Now, I know that they are very common tanks but I still love the way the dimensions mess with your perception of size.

It’s the perfect bookshelf tank. I think I need to do this in an office at work :)

I found two used tanks that were 24" long, 18" front to back, and 12" tall. I think that puts them at about 22 gal, but the dimensions were cool to me so I got them both!
