One of my clown fish has sorta gone into hiding. I have two and they both are always eager to eat when they see me. One still acts "normal" when I approach the tank, but the other now remains in the back sorta hovering.

Since I haven't had them for very long (4 months), I'm not sure what to make of this new behavior? None of the other fish show any signs of distress so I'm wondering if this one is sick or perhaps protecting eggs (which I would be very surprised if they spawned).

Thanks for any observations or experience you can share.

Is it swimming normally and just hiding, or is it struggling to swim at all? Is it still eating? Any signs of trauma, or other stress? Pics would probably help.

He/she is swimming normally (although not moving to far from the current location). No signs of stress that I can tell. He/she did not eat when I tried frozen brine (candy to these guys). I'll try to get a pic. Lights are now in blue spectrum and difficult to get a quality picture.

Size/age would give an idea if getting ready to spawn or not if you can guess close in inches.
Pics always help

1.5 is on the younger side, I'd be surprised if spawning at that size.

Behavior improved a bit today. Swimming more normally but still a bit shy acting.

Spoke to a very knowledgeable LFS owner and they feel nothing yet to be concerned about.

Of course....who knows. Only time will tell.

Sorry to be such an over-reactionist. And I appreciate all your interest.
