OK - because it is a known problem in Exp box 2 - should have been fixed in the last FW update of exp box however. I would look for a bad connection in the BNC plug as @Gaël state

@Lasse @Gaël
As I had stated yesterday afternoon, as suddenly as this started, the issue stopped. It has been fine since. When I got home last night everything appeared to be normal, both with the equipment and in the tank.
In all my years trouble shooting, I have learned a few things.
One is, if an object is having an issue, and the problem isn't obvious at the time of investigating the issue, and all seems normal and operating correctly, do nothing until you can experience the issue happening while you can act.
My reasoning is, because if you can't definitely determine the cause, and you start checking multiple possibilities, you might inadvertently resolve the issue without knowing which component was the culprit.
So until it happens again, and I can be there to trouble shoot one component at a time, I will just wait and see if it happens again or it was just some sort of fluke.
Thanks to you both for the help and suggestions.
