Currently running the Aquatic Life T5 with the AP700 and looking to get rid of the AP700. Not to impressed with it. How many XR15's would you recommend to put in the t5? tank is 35" long by 24" wide. looking for 250-350 par

2 Should do it if you're willing to turn them up a bit.

do you think 2 with the diffusers would still be ok?
diffusers will decrease relative intensity by about ~10-15% if I remember correctly (it's been discussed a fair amount) but will also give you better spread across you 24" deep tank and allow you to mount your lights a bit lower, allowing your T5s to be a bit more effective
