So tomorrow I embark on a trek to the far west towards Anaheim, CA. Well not really a trek as I am flying but I thought it sounded good ;)

Most of the trip is for work, but I may have a chance to head out and see some saltwater stuff in the area. So if you had limited time, where are the must see spots in the saltwater world of Anaheim or Orange County?

Please note, I am staying at the Disneyland Resort Hotel and have no mode of transportation ;( Plus the only times I'll have free are evenings during the week other than Sunday and Friday before I leave the sunny state on Saturday AM.

So there's no saltwater places to see near Anaheim or Disneyland?

What about in between LAX and Disneyland?

Hahahhaah.. I'm 15-20 minds from disneyland :-)

Hmm... That could work. Let me check the schedule. I could pick up another frag of that mille ;)

Any other places in the area that are must sees? I need to see if they are on the way for my wife's plans ;)

If you have never been to Mikes shop its worth it!!! Ive also visited Age of Aquariums, and Coral Gazers while I was down for SeaMax.

Here you go....you can mapquest these and see how they group together. The first three are a close enough to make a good afternoon, see lots of great coral and some very nice display tanks.

Also, if you can get to Garden Grove and are more into corals than fish, it would be worth contacting Reefer's Cove and making an appointment to swing by. Jorge and Liz are great people with great corals.

Here are a few others that are worth going to if you are close but I personally wouldn't go out of my way to go to. Coral gazers will probably be a great visit soon but isn't fully set up right now.

Allegiant Ait mechanical delay has me delayed for minimum 5 hours in Fargo... I won't get to LAX or checked in until late so this saltwater store trek may not happen now. Anyone want to bring some fragged joy to the Disneyland hotel Friday evening?

I was hoping to bring back some California goodies to Fargo as our LFS scene here is severely lacking...

Well due to the flight delays all plans to hit the saltwater stores had to be cancelled. It sure sucks, but what do you do... Maybe next time I get out there it will be all for fun and I won't have to be stuck to a work schedule most of the week.
