Hello everyone.Just ordered my SC150 drilled for synergy overflow, and anxiously awaiting its arrival.Upgrading from a 90 gallon reef ready.I am getting ready to build my stand, and would like to know if I can build it exact to the dimensions of the tank,60x24,or does it have trim pieces top and bottom that I will have to account for.I know my Marineland aqaurium has trim pieces it sits on.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.
Mine has no bottom trim piece and is exactly 60x24

Very exciting!

No trim pieces. I had my stand built to exact 60x24 dimensions and the aquarium fits perfectly!

I’ve got mine on a 60x24 piece of 3/4” plywood on top of my steel stand.
*I don’t have it perfectly centered in this pic...

I ordered my 80g SCA in November and we have missed the mid-January delivery estimate due to a delay in cabinets.

That said, I hope to have it here in a week or so and hooked up and flowing soon after.

Here's my sca 66 gallon that im taking my sweet time setting up and stocking. Luckily I have other mature reefs or this would kill me. Been up about 5 months now but rock has been in my frag system for a couple years now. Everything is plumbed through the wall into a huge utility closet on the other side to hide all the mechanics as well as give me more working room. Total volume is about 130 gallons including my diy sump and display refuge.

Those pics of fuge are when it was relatively fresh hench the white sand and rocks. It's much more overgrown now and covered in coraline. Oh and a picture of my friend that calls the fuge home. Hope you guys like it!

Has anyone gotten their 210g but had it drilled for shadow overflow or any other external overflow rather than the internal that it comes with?

Prospecting my upgrade path from the 120 in a year or two.

Got my SCA 120 in November, LOVE IT! Got the PNP, but scrapped everything but the tank. Went with a Planet Aquarium stand/canopy, Trigger sump, and AquaMaxx skimmer instead. Really happy I did that

Hey, I recently got myself the 150 and can’t decide on whether I want to go with bare bottom, starboard, or sand. I’ve only ever had sand in my tanks, but I want to try bare bottom out. If anyone has gone bare bottom, what has been your experience with it? What about starboard? Any particular thickness that you’ve gone with? That stuff is really expensive and hard for me to justify.
thanks!

Personally, I like seeing a reef tank with sand. It’s more natural looking and just sort of ties the whole thing together. Bare bottoms, IMHO, look incomplete.
Just my opinion ;Happy

Beautiful!
Which gyre pumps are those? I found out my XF130 magnets aren’t strong enough for the glass in the 150.
