Hey guys. I'm about to build a tank and have done quite a bit of research but I'm quaking in my boots. I need some morale boosting from my R2R team.
Tank will be 54 x (24 or 26) x 22. (L,W,H). I've looked at tanks like the SCA 150 etc and it seems they use half inch glass. Where I am, only the big guys even stock that thickness and it's supper expensive so when I buy it's for life. I expect to Euro Brace because I hate centerbraces.
No one locally builds tanks that big generally but a guy who builds fish tanks who is a friend will assemble it. I have confidence in him but more in the R2R gang.
1. How would you approach this build?
2. How would you brace it so it's bulletproof?
3. Any particular brand silicone of very high strength you would use vs the regular Aquarium brands?
4. What safety factor might I be looking at?
