Just wanted to intro myself and give a little background on me!
Been a wet pet guy for almost 30 years, but due to military service had to take a break about 6 years ago. I'm about to retire, settle down in one spot and crank up the salty-mess we love so much. My wife prohibited me from starting a new reef after we tore down the last one we had for 6 years and she had to maintain over a few deployments. I think she might have actually gotten a little salt creep in her blood even though she won't admit it!
Anyway, got a 120 dual overflow sitting in the garage waiting for the attention. So much seems to have changed yet remained the same. Looking at a Trigger sump, making my own base rock and trying to decide whether to do LED, T5, MH or a combo. Hopefully using the next year to find out how SPS and LPS do under LED so I can see if that's the way to go.
Any advice you have to offer on anything is always welcome and most appreciated. No doubt there are a million ways to have a successful reef and I'm probably only smart on about 4 of them! :tongue:
