Its is possible with the skimmer you have but its going to take A LOT of work to make something that will tumble the pellets.

What kind of resources and materials do you have on hand?

Only reason I ask is because a TLF Phosban reactor with NPX screens is relatively cheap and is already proven to work for this application.

However, if you have tons of time and no cash to spend, you could DIY.

For starts you are going to need to make 2 bubble plates to go down in the bottom at entry and the top at exit. Holes small enough for the pellets not to fall threw. Also a center hole for the entry water.

The feed tube needs to be centered so the pellets with tumble as even as possible.

You'll have to block off the skimmers original exit. I think it may be just a bit to low to have the exit. Then the exit will have to be relocated. Maybe you could get a 90 fitting on the the neck where it goes up to the collection cup? Then a straight length and another 90 to aim it down. Then another straight length to get back down to the water.

Any of that make sense?
