Old reef rock

I was given a big basket of coral. I am wondering how to clean it. I'm thinking of using it in a nano cube. Also do you think the rock is safe to use

How to “clean” dead live rock

I got a few pieces of used to be live rock, now dead rock from a guy I know. It’s was sitting in his garage for a while and has all sorts of unwanted stuff in/on it. What’s the best way to clean it up? I have the rock soaking in a 5g bucket of ro water now, but I feel that won’t be enough.
