Older Apex Jr. help

I’ve recently acquired an older apex jr, the one pictured is not it, just the model. I was wondering what all can be attached to this if anything or what would be recommended to attach to it? Could I add more plugs, probes, etc. Anything helps as I’ve never messed with any of the automation systems!

thats just the eb4, you still need apex brain. Theres a newer version of the APEX jr

Like mentioned before, you need to hook it up to the Apex 'brain'.

In theory you can plug in pretty much anything and use it for automations or failovers.
The Apex system can be expanded with extra modules so basically you can add whatever you want.
What exactly do you want to know or do?

I believe that is an APEX JR and not just an EB4. The JR looked a lot like an EB4, but I think the label states JR. I have a couple of these controllers. You can hook most any of older modules to it or an EB4 or EB8 to gain additional plugs if you can acquire them. All the probes will work with it with the proper modules. It is limited in the total number of modules (I think it is something like 5 including the display). It will not support the Trident, and I don't think it will work with the EB832. As a basic controller the old JR was great.

I do believe it is the Jr as i have it plugged in right now and it’s alternating plugs and changing stuff in and out. I want to see if I can find one of the EB8s to extend it.

I think the OP has managed to confused a lot of people here. THe old Apex Jr. looks like the EB4 with the brain inside and couple of different ports that normal EB4 doesn't have.

@kingalee You can expand your Apex Jr. with EB4, EB8 and PMx modules without any issues. Problem is the EB4 and EB8 have been discontinued and are no longer sold so you'll be forced to acquire used.

Not sure if Neptune still makes it, but the EB4 is still shown as in stock at a number of online stores. The EB8 would have to be used.
