That tank looks bigger. I would have been fooled by the volume.
I blame the wide angle potato (phone camera) [emoji23]

I'm well chuffed with the rocks. I ordered a pack online (70lbs ish) and the pieces are so huge I only needed to use 2 out of the 5 chunks I received.

Going to go with Lasse's start up method as detailed here: https://www.reef2reef.com/ams/15-steps-to-starting-a-saltwater-aquarium-the-lasse-method.597/

Really like the aquascape.
Cheers, I'm sure I'll ruin it with corals ;):D

Good call, his methods work great.
Seems like simple and logical method. Picked up the first fish today, a yellow head jawfish. It's currently hiding under the rocks somewhere but hopefully it'll get busy den building over night.

Very nice!
Certainly a very cool little fish, can't wait till it's out and about.

Here's a quick shot of the filter section from above.
2x 100w heaters in the overflow, followed by an upflow ATS, a media chamber (filled this today with live rock rubble from my LFS out of one of their sumps), bubble trap and then return chamber.

Well the jawfish was in full view this morning.......... On the rug in front of the tank :( I thought my lid was sufficiently tight fitting but apparently it's not. Absolutely gutted this morning.

So it's been a while since updating and everything thing seems to be going reasonably well. Working through a few minor issues but fingers crossed nothing drastic has happened yet.

I'll start with some of my latest shots taken last night.
