I have noticed these on my skimmer intake lately, and a few are in between my zoas. They look like a clove polyp and beige to pink in color. They don't have the long stalk that I see on most clove polyps. I never intentionally introduced them to the tank and wondered if there is a need to be concerned about their appearance within the last month or two? My tanks is 3 years old and I have not introduced anything new in over a year except adding more snails and some sexy shrimp.

I did think they looked a lot like clove polyps. I will try to get rid of as many as I can. I did get rid of a lot of them when I removed my hang on the back Bubble Magus skimmer and cleaned it. They seem to mostly gravitate toward that area. I don't want to do anything too extreme right now as i have a lot of baby rock flower anemones in the sand area of this little tank.

If your tank is pretty filled out then I wouldn't worry about them too much but if there's available space they will try and take it over.

They are like asterina starfish. A few are cute then one day you have hundreds. Remove them whenever you see them.
Once they get a hold in your system they spread like the plague.
Better to address now rather than later, imo.

Looks more like Xenia to me... if it's pulsing, kill it with fire.
