i got this guy plus some smaller ones kinda like it from ebay a few months ago. they where to be emerald crabs. they looked like an emerald but i started missing my nasarus snails and started seeing piles of snail shells by where this guy called home...this guy is a meat eater and if you have a snail problem then keep him....it took me 3 months to get this guy out of my tank....i have even tried to stab him with a knife but his shell is so darn thick!!! how i got him out is that i chased him to a net that i had stuck into the sand along the back wall of my tank....im having a good day now !!!

:haha:

notice his nasty claws!!!

Pretty sure a stone crab. Pure Evil, but tasty! Had 2 in my tank, almost indestructible and had to remove most of my rock to get out. jerks!

By the sounds of it - he is a pretty spendy crap, if you factor in all the stuff he ate! lol
Glad you caught him - crabs are a nightmare to catch...

If you are looking to get rid of him, I'd be happy to take him. I have a predetorial invert tank that he would do well in.
