So I have a 28 gallon JBJ nano tank. I have a rose bubble tip anemone with two clown fish, my problem is only one is hosting the anemone. The other clown fish is hosting the return. Does anyone know any tricks to coax the other one in the anemone. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd just wait it out. There was a guy on here I believe (who got a LOT of hate) who went and bought a clown that was already pairing with a BTA at pwtco OE something, brought him home to his tank and then his clowns got the idea and he returned the fish. This is very stressful to everyone involved and may result in deaths... YMMV

Geeze that's a lot of stress on the fish. It's just weird cause the one that is hosting will go up to the other and try to almost like pull him in. Probably saying come on man all the cool kids are doing it. Haha

The other should find his way to it. It coukd take months. But best thing ive had success with is with tank light off, shine a flashlight down on the nem. My clown found it quickly after in a 65 gallon tank. Good luck! But the 1 clown in there might even be pushing the other out. You just might not see it. Or if they are paired the other will shorty follow. Thats my guess. I was always told if u want a clown to almost 100% dive into a bta, get a maroon clown. Thats one of there anemones in the wild.

I guess I never thought of the other one pushing it away. That is very likely. I'll have to keep an eye and really watch them. I'll post again when they both are in. Thank you. I'm gonna try the flashlight think tomorrow.

Sometimes a female clown will not allow the male to reside in the anemone. Not much you can do about that other then get him his own anemone, and then it's not a given.
