One year old tank. Adding 8 fish at once?

Hi all,

My 130G display (+30g sump, 5ft by 2ft by 2ft peninisula) has been up and running for over a year . The tank is doing well, growing plenty of coralline algae and corals.

Currently the tank has 2 clownfish, which are hosting a powerhead by the overflow.

I am placing an order for quarantined fish from dr.reef:
- one spot foxface
- yellow tang
- midas blenny
- starry blenny
- diamond goby
- banggai cardinal
- firefish
- royal gramma

Since the fish will be on the smaller size, any issues with adding all of them together at the same time?
Also, are there any fish that I should add to this stock list (or drop)?

I like your rock rock. I would consider more hiding places for the fish.

I have always found it best to add everybody at the same time. It eliminates established tank mates from bully behavior.

Instead of one, consider a school of Banggai Cardinals as they are excellent dither dish and will school in the open which encourages shy fish to come out. I think you need more cover for shy fish to feel safe.

I think that given all you have said, bio-load wise you will be OK adding all at once. (That said, monitor well, and be prepared for some nice water changes 'if' ammonia goes south on you. But I'm thinking it won't.)

What is your vision for this tank?

Would you better describe the bio filtration for your ecosystem?
What’s in your sump?

You can't see from the photo, but I do have a tight fitting lid on this tank from Kraken Lids.

In terms of filtration I have:
- oversized skimmer - right now mostly using it to aerate the system
- reefmat 1200
- refugium with chaeto

Currently, with the lack of bioload I have to dose nitrates and phosphates, otherwise they dwindle down to zero.

Long term vision for the tank: SPS dominant mixed reef with active healthy fish mix. I don't plan on adding any more fish down the line. The list of fish (plus/minus one or two fish) feels like a good place where the fish can grow in and not run out of space.
