Maybe 13 months cause I'm lazy. Set this up last year cause I was board. Pulled biocube out that had been sitting in the garage for years (it's the oceanic version if that tells you anything about how long). Pulled rock from my 30g. Only filtration is a biocube UV, seachem matrix in the center section and factory biocube filters (sometimes I dump out a compartment and put a lil GFO in). Lighting is Nicrew 50w hyper reef led. And yes they stole pic on Amazon for their ad. Flow is a Hygger 1600 wave maker (another Amazon special). No skimmer and very lazy on maintenance/testing these days. Enough backfield l background already:
Initial set up in August 2020
And here with the first batch of corals in Sept
And here in November not much doing. Moved the frogspawn to my 30g. It didn't like the little high light up there
Here we are in December. A few more additions. Still hasn't taken off
January starting to show signs of growth
Fast forward to March
Now we are in July and this are starting to cook!
And the rest are where we sit today. Not everything did well (look at the Scully, the only coral I paid any real money for). Aiptasia all over cause I didn't nip it in the bud but not bad for a Amazon light, no skimmer and a tank pulled out the garage!
And a bad quality full frontal shot
