Hi Folks, just made it into the monster tank section. Mine is 407g. Lol.

I'm having to start from scratch as had a tank crash after 11 years after a cheap Chinese pump that was running one of my UV units. It went wrong and over heated the tank. Which killed everything due to heat. I was on holiday at the time so couldn't do anything about it as it wasn't running through the apex computer. I just got notified from the temp probe from the apex. Absolutely gutted. It even broke my return pump the water got so hot. So have to start again. But I refuse to give up this great hobby or way of life. Lol. I will be posting pics soon of the new equipment and old what survived.

Welcome to R2R! Sorry to hear about your tank crash. Out of curiosity are you leaning towards Triton method or normal water changes etc? I have zero xp with tanks this size but its fascinating to me.

Normal water changes. I know of the triton method but don't know much about it. I collect natural sea water as I only live 5 mins from the beach. The initial water volume will be coral pro salt though. Then there after will be sea water for water changes and RO/DI for topoff

The larger the water volume the easier it is as anything in the water column is diluted much more. But it is more expensive stocking wise. There are pros and cons to both to be honest
