Just a thought.Any guesses as to why? Parameters are good as are all other corals. Had this for over 4 years.

Good guess but no. It’s on the sand bed and has monti caps overhanging it so nothing can really get to it.Similar to above comment, my first thought is that another coral fell onto it....
Don’t see anything obvious. Think I will remove it and look more closely.by boring I mean bore into. Some invertebrates burrow their way into the skeleton of LPS corals, which can irritate them.
You usually don't see it, because they're inside the skeleton. Could possibly be some other cause though; probably wanna rule out those causes first. What are your params?Don’t see anything obvious. Think I will remove it and look more closely.
Yes that’s why I think I can get better view if I take it out. Can move it around and use a flashlight. You usually don't see it, because they're inside the skeleton. Could possibly be some other cause though; probably wanna rule out those causes first. What are your params?

Params are fine: Alk 8.5 Ca 475 PO4 .06 nitrates 18.
Nope. Been rock solid. Snap of my tank. As you can see things are thriving. Just this one SOB giving me grief.I see. Any parameter swings happen recently?
