I have noticed recently my open brain which I bought both at the same time , same size .
They take turns which one inflates and for how long .

also have a donut coral , which was about 8” away from the pair of open brains .
he has moved and snuggled in tight with them .

is it normal for these open brain corals to inflate this large ?

it’s almost 2x the size of the donut

Weird garden you got there
Weird is the understatement …

the things I want to grow , never do .
the things I with would stay in one location spread everywhere .
For example gsp .
I have never had much luck with it . 9/10 times it grows to a colony , sheds pieces that plant themselves elsewhere in the tank and the colony dies .
Zoas I can’t keep , but palys spread everywhere ( essentially the same family but one grows , one doesn’t .
Xenia grows out of control and all of a sudden shrivel up to nothing

hammer frags do great on the rack closer to the top ,
Put them on the rock or sand bed they close up .

They usually inflate when there trying to move by letting the current take them i believe. Id let it do its thing.
