I currently have a Jebao uv sterilizer that is turning sooty black inside the tube. Very cheap quality. I want to replace it with something higher quality. I see the Icecap brand is about $150 less than the AquaUV brand. Does anyone have any experience with the Icecap brand they would share? I sure don’t want to cheap out and get the junk like my Jebao, but I also don’t want to overspend on a UV sterilizer when the Icecap brand may be just as good (or close).

Is the plastic body fairly thick, like a pvc pipe? One of the problems with the Jebao was the walls of the body were very thin and easy to crack and leak…..not to mention the black sooty residue it created.

Yes much better quality, been an Icecap fan for 20+ years, I also upgraded from Jebao when it cracked and ruined my flooring
