Are there any third party optical sensors that will work or can be made to work with Apex?

None that I'm aware of.

Okay, thank you. I have to replace another one. These things don’t last long.
My first optical sensor failure was after 2.75 years. How long have you had yours? Do you know whether it was a version 1 or 2?

I would say depending on how long you had yours, you might be able to reach out to Neptune to get it replaced if it is a recent purchase. My first one lasted for about 8months back in 2018 and Neptune replaced it through a work request...All of mine (I have five running as we speak) works fine.

I’ve had 6 optical sensors, all for 4 years. Are you cleaning them periodically?
I clean them every four to six weeks. I have 6 of them and only one has made it longer than a year. There has to be better quality sensors somewhere.

That has not been my experience. I have them in my RO, NSW and Sump all working great. Very unfortunate you’re 0/6.

You could get a breakout box and wire up float switches instead.

That are all V2. I found the pin outs for the plug. I’m going to order a single better quality sensor and make sure I can get them to work. If I can I’m going to replace them all with the higher quality sensors.
