Hi all-

Looking for options for an inline air blower to feed air to sump. My sump setup is in the basement which also houses pool equipment and blowdown (airborn chloramines) and I am a market farmer so I do seed starting etc (fertilizers, etc.) I am wanting to feed the sump with a smallish .75"-1" air source from outdoors, run thru a carbon filter, to make sure I don't inadvertently poison my sump. Sump will be loosely covered and vented outside. There many options for large duct blowers but this is overkill and will require a large exterior port. I was considering a vacuum pump inline but they are typically loud. Something like a pump used to inflate air mattresses would work but would need to be capable of running 24/7. Ideas? TY

How far of a run are you talking? Could you just use flexible ductwork? Maybe the flexible tubing you'd use for a dryer vent? Attach it to a simple fan to pull in fresh air?

Probably about 20'. Dont really want to run duct just due to the routing. I was hoping to use some small diameter tubing. I did find a mini squirrel cage blower for computer gear that may work. So I may try that.

I was considering something like this and the one thing is that I was not able to find anything smaller than a 4in duct fan. As this was the case if I was going to move forward I would have just used a 1" line and used reducers to connect the 1" to 4". It might limit the fan output but it should work. The other option would be to purchase a continuous duty motor and have a smaller 1" blower 3D printed. There might even be 3D printer plans for something like this out there now.
