Are you guys talking about "Strawberry Shortcake" or the new "ORA Shortcake".
Big difference.
I have the ORA Shortcake but the pic i posted on the previous page is regular Strawberry Shortcake.

lol, is there an echo in here? ;)

Same link i posted. ORA Shortcake. Different than traditional Strawberry Shortcake.

Here is mine, I got it this friday, a bit small but it has color. I keep it low and with some medium water flow.

That's the first frag I've seen from ORA that wasn't completely encrusted.

Man, forgot i had these pics.

Here it is about a week or two after i first got it. I break mine off the ORA plugs and epoxy straight to my rock.
This was early February.

And here it is two months later in early April.

It's been a slow grower for me, mostly just encrusting so far but I'll try to get another pic since it's been another month.

Dennis, looks great, good color, growth and PE. I think the shortcake is gonna be a fast grower. Mine has encrusted off the rock and growing like crazy.

It looks like you're losing tissue.

I think it's the picture, in person it seems fine. ill keep an eye on my frag because I haven't had good luck with other shortcake, i am hoping Ora will be hardier.. I did get other frags from Ora and they were fully encrusted. Shortcake is hard to find, so I got what I could.

How the hell did you break the plug? I tried but then gave up for fear of damaging the coral!

No no, i broke it OFF the plug.
I think ORA plugs are made from Unobtanium or something.
Break it of the plug and if you have anything left on the actual plug, throw it in your frag tank. Twofer! :whoo:
