I'm looking to buy a orp meter to use with ozone. Currently running ozone 15 mintues a day trying to get better water clarity and possibly kill toxins. I was looking at the Milwaukee mc125 orp/ph controller. Is there better or cheaper options? I also like the hydros x10 but is much more expensive and probably wouldn't be in the budget anytime soon. but has other features. Anyone have any recommendations or personal experience. Buy the Milwaukee now or continue running ozone for limited time everyday till I someday get a hydros x10?

There are other Hydros controllers with pH/ORP probe ports. They can always be connected together to form a collective. Have you checked into using an X3, X4 or Launch to get your port for ORP. The X4 has 2 pH/ORP ports so you can monitor both and connect a temp probe to one of the 4 sense ports to also monitor temp. The X4 also has 2 12v drive ports so it can power a solenoid or small pump also.

Thank you! I missed that the X4 had 2 ports for ph and orp at the same time. That may also be an option i will have to do some research on it

I run a Milwaukee orp controller.
It runs 24/7 on a low setting into my skimmer.
Been running over a year with no issues.

Here is a couple of screenshot showing my X4 port use. Some of the 0-10v inputs have multiple uses. But the screenshot only show one of them. input 1, w and 3 monitor the level in my three reservoirs in the garage. So there are at least 2 inputs setup on each of those and in the case of the mix tank there is also another input that triggers at 60%. That one turns off the mixing pump if the level drops below 60%. Input 4 is connected to my push button boxes that are in the garage. The X4 is in the garage over 35ft from the tank but I still use the 4 0-10v outputs to control light levels in the tank. I did that when I took down all my Digital Aquatics modules in the garage and I used the old command cable for the Digital Aquatics modules to get the 0-10v signals to the tank from the garage. I don't have an ORP probe hooked to it but my ORP probe is in the tank so it is connected to one of the controllers at the tank. The X4 is also my preferred wifi master which means it controls all the wifi devices like the fish feeder and wifi power strips.

Thanks. I didn't even think about using the sensor inputs for container/reservoir levels that's a great use. Also glad to hear the Milwaukee has been working well. Not making my decision any easier

How long did it take for an accurate reading? Mine has been around 120 for 4 days. Any advice?

Mine took awhile to read correctly. It also started out very low like yours. I cant remember exactly how long it was but I want to say maybe 10 to 14 days before it stopped going up. I did buy the orp 400 calibration solution and checked it after a month because I wasn't sure about it working correctly but it was giving 400 with the solution. The sensors do need time to break in, I think read that in a few places. If your not sure its reading correctly give it a few weeks and then test it with the 400 solution.

I don't recall but it was awhile.
When I clean it it will show low for a day or so until it comes up.
I use the 400 solution to check also.
