Orp probe good or bad

Got one from liveaquaria the cap is bone dry will it be OK or should I send it back. Of course I call and there answering machine said call from 9-5 and it was 3 no one there.

ORP probes were meant to be maintained wet. You run the risk of bad readings.
If your LFS or a friend has an ORP setup, take it there and compare to their reading if you don't compare it to a known value now, you will never know if it's giving you an accurate reading. Good luck.
