Would like to make the coral and fish "pop" more , so i was thingking to ad a orphek or3 violet to my philips coral care.
Does anyone allready has the violet one and if so i would love to see some pics and hear experience with these lights.
Thanks, grtz jack

What kind of corals are you running in your tank? I have the OR3 Blues and the Daylight, I don't think in the current OR3 line they make the violet anymore. I personally like the color of the blues the best... The attached photo is with the blues on using a sepia filter. Shot is from is mid-day my XR30s are running in the back

So as an experiment, I decided to run 4 x Orphek OR3 bars over my 120 as the primary light source, instead of secondary. Here is how it looks after 4months of just the 4 OR3 Bars, all 4 are Blue Plus

Colours realy pop . Looks great :)

Making the corals fluoresce more and showing the colors on your fish are two different things. The former will require more blue/violet while that latter more of a full spectrum light.
