Hey everyone! I finally got my lights set up! I’m running 3 Orphek Natura iCons. I’m using 2 of their universal fixing brackets. I still have to program the lights but this is what they look like when plugged in right out of the box. I hung them 7” off the water-line. I’m going to be growing all SPS in this tank. currently have 2 blackstorm clownfish and have some tangs coming from Marine Collectors in the newest couple weeks or so. Let me know what you think or what the best light schedule/program I should run. I’m thinking about always having a moonlight setting for during the night. My TikTok is @reefscapestudio if you want to see more. I post daily. IMG_2766.png IMG_2767.png

I have these, big fan with my kiddos. Light doesn’t blind you when looking at an angle from the ground. Great on the corals!

Those are some incredible looking lights on your tank!

Any suggestions or advice when creating a scene in the app? I am going to be doing sps tank and will get a par meter. I want to know what percentage each color should be

I have the Icons and I would just go with the helius program. I've been using it for 2.5 years and it has been fantastic.

7" seems a bit low.........Icons recommendation is 17-18"and that gets me about 300-325 at mid level of my 24" deep tank. I'm not sure on the Naturas height but I'd go with their recommendation.

Yeah I figure I would just adjust the intensity and see what my par is with a par meter. I like the height they are at and don’t want to have to move them

I’ve been running 3 natura icons over a 180 gallon (waterbox infinia 230.6) for the past 4 months. I followed the recommendation of the Orphek sales rep and mounted them at 8 inches above the water. My tank is 24 inch deep and running them at 80% I get mid 200 par on the sand bed and upper 400s at about 12 inches deep.

I modified the helius program to run from 6 am to 8 pm with heavier blues on the ramp up and ramp down. This is an Acro dominated tank and most of my frags are still pretty small but everything looks happy and are encrusting.

Thank you that’s awesome! I’m going to try and see if my 7 inches height will work good for sps. I have 3 sideways over it so i think i should have enough overlap

Mine is about 18" off the water. Closer might reduce life with saltspray.
I also have max output at 85% to reduce heat, which is the death of these lamps.

I think the bigger problem you will have is the solid acrylic covers. They will cover with algae in no time.

Have you taken a PAR meter to these lights? I am curious about the spread. Like Big E says they are meant to be mounted high. I put my iCon 18 or 20 inches above my tank. The lenses on these are pretty direct and they need the height to get the spread.
