Really cool! I was thinking about doing a T5 supplement for my XR15 over my 24x24 cube. Maybe a pair of these is really all I would need. Certainly would look a lot nicer than a big ole T5 fixture!

I’d have to think about which color spectrum or pair of them to add...maybe a UV and a daylight...

Ordered a UV. Figured it's easy enough to add another strip of a different spectrum if needed

If I like the fixture on my frag tank, I’ll probably do the same to supplement my Hydra 26HD on my 24” cube too! Probably Reef Day Light + UV since the Hydra has great blues.

I would like to get the 48" model and cut in half and save some money but alas that will not work. So would one 24 model work on a 24x20x12 tank?

I’m just surprised these lights haven’t made more of an impact and aren’t getting much of a buzz given the price point and the modular/T5 bulb feel.

Hi JaaxReef , thanks for commenting here. Actually this model is very succsesfull , it is very strong, with a very good spectrum based on the spectrum of our Atlantik v4. It is also water proof and there are 45 types of combinations (very versatile product): 3 models sizes X 5 different spectrums X 3 lens types. All that combined together can give us 45 types of units. Besides, we can customize for every client the power plug. We also offer customized LEDs with extra an cost. For example, many clients ask for UV/Violet combined with blue. We offer 385nm ,400nm , 410nm ,420nm,430nm,440nm,450nm,460nm,470nm, 490nm, 500nm, 520nm - this renders a very wide blue light spectrum. The reason we haven't published much photos it is just because most of photos we get from clients are under the blue light or the violet, and it looks like
these photos: very blue that does not reflect the real look of the tank. This photo is one example of what I am telling you:

Blue Spot Octopus thank you for asking.
Yes, one OR 60 Reef Day light will work very well for your aquarium size! It covers very well 24 x 20 x 12 tank, The units have 120 D Lens, so the spread is very good.
You realy don't have to worry about the intensity of the light! The OR 60 features 18 LEDs of 3 watt at correct spectrum.

Just received my UV 120 strip yesterday. First I just say customer service has been fantastic since the very start. My sales rep, James, was very quick to respond to my initial email and was very helpful. He provided all the necessary information and answered all of my questions. Very smooth process

The light itself appears to be very well constructed. Feels solid as a tank. No flimsy construction here. The UV spectrum from this light adds a lot of color and fluorescence.

Unfortunately my tank is in the stage of the uglies a couple months into my cycle so no beautiful pics to post.

Very difficult to see the true beauty of the color from photos. First is UV off and second is on. Defiantly make my cyano glow

Awesome! Mine just arrived today, so I’m excited to hang it over my drag tank! I’ll see how the Reef White spectrum looks as a stand alone fixture.

I purchased two OR90s three months ago to supplement my T5s. Debated between these and ReefBrites... I made a good decision. Build quality and LED/Lenses are what you would expect from Orphek. Very happy with the price too.
eFloyd , if you can share some pictures will be great . Thanks

This Aquarium is with 1x Or120 reef day light and 1xOR 120 reef UV / Violet. The spectrum shift to violet and not to blue as most of the reef aquarium.

I'm thinking of ditching the plans for a T5 fixture over my 48" x 24" x 10" frag tank to two OR 120s. Now I just can't decide between Reef Day Light + Blue Sky for an SPS AB+ type spectrum or if one of the OR 120 should be UV/Violet. I want the Blue Sky spectrum in one of the OR 120 and the Reef Day Light also has 1/3 the LEDs in the same 410 and 430nm that the UV/Violet has so I think this may be the right combination. @Orphek Do you have any sample photos of the Blue Sky + Reef Day Light combination? Would it be similar to the photos of the aquarium with an Atlantik v4 and an OR Blue Sky? Also, is there a suggested width to mount two OR apart from one another for best blending over 24" width tank? Thanks!

I got my reef daylight fixture a couple weeks ago and the spectrum is killer. I’m not a huge fan of the windex look, so I would go with one reef daylight and one UV/Violet and skip the extra blue. The extra pop will look great with the reef daylight, which in my opinion, has plenty of blue already.

Do you have any pictures to share of just the Reef Day Light? In a display, I don't like the windex look either as long as the colors are popping. For the frag tank, I was going to go with 4 bulb t5 (3x ATI blue plus, one coral plus) so I'm looking to recreate something similar which is why I was pretty set on the Blue Sky and Reef Day Light.

I paid for a 24" refugium light on May 18th, and still haven't gotten a shipping notification. How long do these typically take to send after payment? a month seems pretty long!

Here’s the reef daylight. Orphek is right, it renders great color for pictures! One of the frag tank from further back. You can see it has plenty of blue already. And one of my designer Clarkii. No photo editing.

The UV/Violet added to my current spectrum would add more pop without the windex look. My opinion of course. No more blue needed.
