What’s your opinion on the Orphek natura icon vrs the radion xr30?

Interested to see what other people have to say about this, I’ve just switched to Natura Icons from a t5 hybrid; so far I’m happy.

If those are the only two options, Radion. They are beyond proven and a good light.

Orphek is known to silence and censor any negative reviews on their platforms. They are not a great company IME

If you’re open to other options, you can get Gen 2 Nicrew for 1/3 the Radions with all the same performance.

If you’re willing to spend $1k per light, the ATI Straton X is a phenomenal choice at that price point

I've owned both before. Earlier version of the Orphek...I didn't like the app/controller. I had a couple of lights go out as well and a bad power supply (which Orphek did replace).
Personally like the Radions a lot more. The Mobius app is awesome IMO. They both can grow great looking corals though.
Wait until Black Friday and you can get the Radions for 20% off...otherwise they are too expensive IMO.

I have used a lot of lights and Orphek are my favorite. Have never had bad experience with customer service. The fixtures are serviceable and upgradable by the user. The actual light produced is extremely nice, especially for the newer iCon series lights. The helius program they have for the iCon series is really nice and although you can change the spectrum there isn't much need. The only bad in my experience is the new app. It's quite terrible but I can set that aside since you don't need to be in the app very often at all. You get your lights to the correct intensity and then leave them alone. It's worth that little bit of hassle to me.

If you have a bigger system then Orphek is also a great choice because the fixture itself is quite large (24") and covers a lot of surface area, especially with 90deg optics.
