Hello all,

I was just reading that our city (Edmonton, AB) started to use Orthophosphate in the drinking water to help with lead leeching from old pipe. Is that something I should be worried about concerning my water? Would it mostly be picked d up by the DI resin in my RO/DI filter? It always a battle to keep the phosphate down in my tank and was wondering if that could be related.

Cheers

This is a really good question. I live in Saskatoon and to the best of my knowledge it hasn't been implemented here (yet), but probably isn't that far off on the horizon.

I couldn't find a lot of information on removing it beyond RODI systems should remove most of it and we're apparently adding far more phosphates with feeding.
