We upgraded recently from a 125 to a 210 reef.1smile1

Here is what the 125 looked like at its peak:

First we lined buckets and tubs up across the living room to hold the coral. They were very patient!

Here we started moving the old and new live rock into the new tank

Drained the rest of the water out of the old tank into the new one

And this is what it looked like as of April 2011

Still needs work and rearranging, but everything went really well! We only lost two damsel and no corals! Well, technically no coral my 10 year old dropped my pocillipora so we had many frags of it lol.

It took 9 hours to get everything moved and set up!

I will try to post updates soon!

Nice job, I bet your loving all the extra space. How many fish do you have? Can you share some details on your lighting and other equipment? Enjoy it.

Thanks! We are loving it !
Lighting right now is 3 250 watt halides with 14k reef optics bulbs and 4 96watt pc 50/50. We are seriously looking into LED's though.
We built a custom 40 gallon sump/fuge and use a eshopps overflow.
Coralife 220 skimmer and a little fishie phosban reactor.
We have three koralia 4s on it. Just bought a wavemaker, can't wait to set it up and see what the corals do! All kinds of corals.

Everything looks great..really admiring the art in the hood..love unique tanks..You hit the spot there

The hood : is it the same one in the other picture - more recently? That one seems more 'blue' - whereas this shows more of detail- very cool looking! :) Did you make it yourself, or buy it ?

It is the same, just different angle on lights. Thanks it was fun, yes i made it. Our leds were blinding us so its a semi-half hood. It is faux stained glass = plexiglass painted with an acrylic/glue mixture.

Here is a better picture of it, a closeup more what it looks like in person.

Do you mind if I steal your stained glass ideal for the doors on my stand? I just really think that is a unique look. Have you had any problems with the fuzzy dwarf eating any of your smaller fish? Is it eating frozen?

Steal away! I drew the designs, but you can google coloring pages or stained glass designs to get the pictures.

He never touched them. He ate frozen and flake. Unfortunately he went carpet surfing awhile back though :(

Thanks. Didnt eant to step on any toes. I have an art degree so i think i will create my own custom design. I also have a family member that used to do stained glass as a hobby sobi may askbthem to do some real stained glass for me
