I can not seem to find any corner cover for my perfecto tank. So i am going to cut my own from some 1/4 acrylic i have. Is there a paint that can be used on the clear acrylic? Any other tips from anyone on something to do before i start?

I made one for mine and just used regular black spray paint. I have a hood on mine so it didnt have to be pretty but it has held up really well.

Acrylic tends to warp since it absorbs moisture on the tank-side and tends to dry out on the other side.

I might pick another material because of this, but YMMV. Painting it may help, actually.

Nova65ss that probably will be exactly the way i will do it. How did you cut it to get nice smooth rounded edge?

Ronhaskovec i already have the clear arcylic. Was going to use it for sump baffles but went with glass instead.

I cut it with a diamond cut off wheel used for fragging and then smoothed it out with a side grinder and a flapper wheel used for smoothing out welds haha it was just laying there on the workbench so I used it.

Think i have one of them lying in the garage too LOL . My edges will not be as smooth as yours. One step above ghetto for me, I have jig saw and a dremel for sanding, oh and a large canopy to hide it.
