I would like to add a frag tank to my system. My issue is that there is only one place that I can put the frag tank.

The base of the frag tank would only sit 6 inches higher than the base of the sump. Could I put a pump in my sump and put p up to the frag tank and use a Herbie drain back to the sump? The overflow pipe would have to go above the height of the top of the frag tank to go over the rim of the sump tank.

Can this be done?

You might consider drawing this out on graph paper, but it sounds like you are wanting the overflow pipe from the frag tank to route above the water line of the frag tank itself. For the gravity siphon to work, you would need to get (& keep) the air out of the pipe. Even if you managed this on the primary Herbie drain, I don't see how the emergency drain would ever work.

I assume your space limits you from raising the frag tank above the sump?
