For Facebook marketplace you can list them as aquarium decorations, and use key words like not living and there are a ton of people who sell fish and corals on marketplace. I actually ended up buying most of my corals from locals here in Florida as the cost of buying the corals at my LFS was very high and I am always worried about the corals health when ordering online. It seems like the websites do not look at the picture but I can tell people sell a lot of corals and fish this way. It also depends on how big the hobby is in your local area though.

Interesting. How do people figure out that the seahorses are live? Just from the photos? And then they communicate through messenger?

Congrats @cowfishpro! I also raised erectus fry to juvenile stage ONCE! It was a boatload of work so kudos to you. I am glad to see that it looks like you have options. I had a hard time as well. Finally I found a lfs owner who was willing to travel 2 hours to buy my 5 month old juveniles all trained onto frozen mysis for $15 each. I had 16 juveniles. From then on I gave my newly birthed fry to that store for free.

Today is my first day here. I currently have a 300 gallon aquarium with 5 adult Erectus seahorses. I have had these seahorses for more than a year, but I am facing an interesting challenge, so I was curious what others do.

One of my males is extremely prolific. I have raised a number of fry in the seahorse nursery and transitioned them to the 300g. The 300 now contains dozens and dozens, maybe into the hundreds of seahorse fry and juveniles of different ages and sizes.

I know that even a 300g aquarium will not host so many seahorses in the long run. I have a good amount, probably around a dozen, large enough to sell off. I'm interested in suggestions for selling without having to ship or travel. I reached out to some LFSs in my area, but the best I have accomplished is them taking my information to refer their customers to.

I work a very busy, full-time job, and I just can't ship or attend shows right now. I would have to do local pick-up. So I really appreciate suggestions. I also appreciate thoughts on how much to ask. The older juveniles are fully captive bred, born and raised in my home aquariums, and eating both Hikari Bio-Pure and PE frozen mysis.

I think I have watched all of your seahorse videos on YouTube, lol. I'm not sure where you are located, but if you don't offer shipping, then it will probably be difficult to find them new homes with new owners knowing exactly what to expect with seahorses. If my future pair breed like that, I would probably make their new owners send me a water sample, picture of their setup and brine shrimp hatchery, lol. In fact, if I needed to find new homes for the babies, I probably wouldn't ship either. I think for me, I would want to deliver locally and see everything in person. If finding local buyers pans out, then I think $85 for the younger unsexed ones and up to $100-150 for the others depending on age, sex, etc. is extremely reasonable.

Hi Sue. Actually, I am teaming up with a business person who is going to be taking on my Seahorses. Basically, I will supply him and he will do the business part with all the shipping. I think we will have things up and running in the next couple of weeks.
