Anyone have any experience with using ozone not to worried about health affects as it’s in my garage apartment I already run an 80 watt uv sterelizer and I’m always looking for something to help improve my tank

I personally love what ozone does to my tanks water clarity. Seriously, after one night, the water in the display had that floating in space look.

As for fear of it, I have none. I run it only a few hours in the early morning, and it’s going through an ozone reactor that supposedly treats the harmful aspects of it before it goes into the air.

I think as long as you are not running it 24/7 and not using some kind of carbon filter, you should be ok.

Got it any specific brand I use them in my remodels in houses and even new builds we do that have been exposed to moisture but I’m sure they have to be specialized for tank use

I personally am using the ozotech Poseidon. And running it through an avast marine mutiny reactor.

The reactor is probably it needed.many people run them through their skimmer.

Problem is that when going the skimmer route, yiu typically need to add some sort of air dryer in the mix, and because I love in a high humidity state, I could not use the cheapest air dryer from ozotech or I would be drying the beads every few days.

The reactor suggests using it without a dryer, so it ended up being a wash cost wise and I went with the dedicated reactor.
