I recently upgraded to Bashsea 8-24 twisted skimmer. I finally figured out how to get the co2 scrubber to work with this skimmer.

Now I am having trouble with getting the ozone to work. Has anyone setup ozone with Bashsea skimmers?

Post your CO2 scrubber setup with the Bashesea skimmer. I have the large skimmer with scrubber and ozone setup but pets see where you are so far.

From a purely theoretical; induction skimmer design is inherently inefficient with ozone and oxygen injection.

As the fine bubbles are a product of the pressure jet of water entering the water column.

One possible point of imtroction would be at the lower end of the twisted tower. Allowing the ozone to travel upwards, as the bubble mix travels downward.

Unfortunately a lot of your produced gas will be off gassed as well.

Another point of injections would be into the lower square chamber.

Although both points of injections, specifically the lower housing. Can be a point of leaks. A lot of the Ozone will be off gassed.

A more practical approach may be to infuse ozone into a water column. Drawing the water that flows through the skimmer pump. Returned to your system.

A similar gas management approach is used in Ca reactors. Where as the CO2 is infused into a closed/sealed chamber to be recirculated.

Then the enriched effluent is released into the system. Maximizing the gas supply and effect.

A similar approach could be used for ozone. Where the gas first enriches water in a sealed reactor. Recirculated within this reactor. The effluent then enters the skimmer.

The majority of the water skimmed is not enriched.

This method maximizes the contact time of ozone within a sealed chamber. Minimizes exposure to surrounding environment.
